Memorial students will be able to tour the building for the first time starting Monday with the first day of the “Bull School” orientation for students enrolled in special education programs.
The following Tuesday seniors will have their session from 9 a.m. to noon, and juniors will have their session from 1-4 p.m. Sophomores and finally freshmen will have their tours at the same times Wednesday.
Sign-in begins 30 minutes prior to each session and students are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. They will need to bring proof of residency if they have not completed registration yet. Additionally, students who plan on driving themselves to school need to bring $40 cash or check to pay for a parking permit.
After checking in, there will be an informational pep rally and students will then tour the entire building in groups led by students in the PALS program.
Principal Laurie Kinne is excited to see students react to the building for the first time and hopes they will love it as much as she does.
“I am excited and extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work in such an amazing building,” Kinne said via email. “Some mornings when I arrive, it is still dark outside. The lamps in the front are lit up, and the building is so beautiful. I sit in my car and take it all in.”
Kinne and the rest of the administrative team have been working tirelessly to make this first experience with the school special for each and every student who attends.
“Our goal at MHS is for all students to leave bull school feeling excited for the upcoming school year,” Kinne said. “It is going to be an ‘unbelievaBULL’ year.”
