There are a lot of senior events planned for the last four weeks of school. That may seem like a long while, but in reality it’s right around the corner.
Senior Breakfast is the first event on May 1. Seniors will meet at Chuck-E-Cheese from 9-11 a.m.for fun activities that are planned. Tickets are $10 to get in, all includes free breakfast, lunch and unlimited games. Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased cash only in the college and career office.
“I’m looking forward to senior sunset with all my friends and going to all their grad parties,” senior class president Leila Dillard said. “We’re having Senior Day on May 1. All the seniors are invited to Chuck-E-Cheese. It’s also College Decision Day so we’ll be wearing our college shirts, chat with everyone and see where they’re going the next few years.”
Senior Walk will be happening at elementary school every day to celebrate your first school you graduated from. It gives seniors a chance to revisit teachers you’d once known and see the homeroom you’d once stayed in.
West Foundation and Booker T. Washington’s senior walks will be next week, while most others will be the week of May 11-15.
There will be a mandatory senior graduation meeting at 3 p.m. on May 11 in the auditorium covering important graduation details. Following that will be the honor graduate cording ceremony at 5 p.m.
Mark your calendar on May 17 for Senior Sunset. Seniors will be gathering together at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium for their last ever event hosted by Memorial High School. Be sure to bring your friends, grab your yearbooks and embrace the momentous occasion.
All seniors must attend graduation practice. Be sure to mark your calendars for May 19 at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Students will line up with assistance in alphabetical order near the stage area.
The final activity for seniors is graduation, which is set for 8 p.m. on May 20 at Memorial Stadium. Seniors must arrive on the visitors side by 7 p.m. and be in dress code.
